I came to yoga practice, and spiritual practice in general, with the belief that spiritual practice was for the purpose of removing obstacles, breaking chains, and getting rid of negativity with the goal of eventually, having peace. And for me, peace looked like no longer having problems. I believed that after I practiced and prayed for long enough, all of my problems would disappear and new ones would no longer present themselves.


But over the years, I became increasingly frustrated with my spiritual disciplines because I was still having problems - and big ones.
